“I began painting large works on canvas after I returned from New York in mid 2020. The subject matter drew from classical tales, epics from history and incidents in my personal life. I continued to use references from Henry Darger’s Vivian Girls as protagonists in increasingly chaotic realms. Other figures were taken from friends and observations – often from people looking at art in galleries”. - Pat Hoffie
