Fully Exploited Labour: a Survey Exhibition

University of Queensland Art Museum (UQAM)21 October - 26 November 2006

“The work of Pat Hoffie has consistently maintained a political edge. The exhibition includes a selection of work exhibited by Hoffie under the banner of Fully Exploited Labour that focusses on the process by which artwork is made. In producing this series, Hoffie worked with a range of artists, artist groups and communities in Australia and the Asia-Pacific region to raise questions about how tiers of value and significance in cultural production are established. This survey exhibition brings together previously exhibited works from the Fukuoka City Art Exhibition in Japan, The Australia Centre, Manila and Baguio Arts Festival in the Philippines, the Kwang Ju Art Symposium in Korea, the Queensland Art Gallery, the Institute of Modern Art and Brisbane Powerhouse in Brisbane, the Museum of Contemporary Art in Sydney; and as part of the Adelaide Art Festival.”
